How can you join the lab?
You can join the lab through Erasmus+ Placement, Honour or Excelllence internships or master thesis supervision.
Our aim is to provide a safe space for intellectual development especially for those coming from disadvantaged backgrounds to gain the necessary skills and training to find their place in the academic world.

How do we work?
We endorse and aim to work with the following value beautifully put forward by Toni Morrison:
“When you get these jobs that you have been so brilliantly trained for, just remember that your real job is that if you are free, you need to free somebody else. If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else. This is not just a grab-bag candy game.”
Being a lab member means having access to opportunities. These opportunities include joining regular lab meetings, learning new skills (e.g., statistical analysis, research methods, presentation skills), thinking research with theory, getting involved in collaborative research projects, developing your own research project, presenting at lab meetings and conferences, being introduced to other researchers, and getting support for graduate school applications.
We expect every member to participate in a collaborative project first so that they become familiar with our working style, and in the meantime, they can develop their own research projects. Accordingly, every member is expected to be a co-author on a submitted paper within a year. The order of co-authorship is determined based on relative contribution. If members manage to develop their own research and take the lead in execution, coordination, and writing of the project, they are named as the first author on the submitted paper. We aim for every member to complete their tenure in our lab with at least one paper under review. We strongly encourage collaborative work for skills development and for building cooperative and supportive work environment.
